Waterfall Rappelling
Imagine yourself being secured into a climbing harness overlooking an immense canyon. While you are being walked through a series of safety instructions you hear a 'click' as the rope is locked into the carabineer and your harness. The words that follow are 'on belay' and with that you back over the ledge of a rushing waterfall that descends over 110 feet. There is no turning back - this is not for the timid!!! And, the experience is one for a lifetime. During the drier months this waterfall's springs slow to a trickle creating an incredible wilderness amphitheater. Since all life is dependent on water this canyon is a sure spot for wildlife sightings. Little compares to this adventure be it wet or dry.

Tree Climbing
Our most popular experience is climbing the braided roots of the "Cathedral," a massive fichus over 200' tall. What remains is the largest jungle gym ever created! Using quality climbing gear, you climb the inside using the strong roots as hand and foot holds. At the ceiling, 90', previous climbers have left tokens of appreciation, including a Tibetan prayer bell. The ringing of this bell has become a traditional goal for fresh ascenders. Once you've attained your personal nirvana, you are belayed halfway down. From this point you swing from the inside to the outside of the tree for an eye-opening perspective. A free descent to the forest floor completes the adrenaline rush!

Horseback Riding
Gentle but responsive horses follow a forest road through secondary and virgin jungle and finish galloping on the beach. Arrangements should be made by mid afternoon for the next day. This is a highly recommended tour for horse and nature lovers.

Massage
The masseuse offers massage therapy sessions to foster a greater sense of health and relaxation, in the privacy of your room.

Yoga
If requested we can arrange private or group yoga sessions. Price to be arranged

Surfing
Private lesson with an expert at the famous beach surf break in Matapalo, the perfect place to learn to surf. The wave we learn on is perfect for the first timer to intermediate surfer. The water is a warm 86* year round, The biggest advantage to the waves we teach on is their gentleness when they break, never do you get held down, or tumbled.

Our basic mechanics style teaching of the sport is easy to follow, and is kid friendly to the youngest kids as long as they are comfortable swimmers. After a 15 minute briefing you are given a surf shirt and a soft top surfboard, and off you go with the guide, to start your very addicting new passion with the sport of the kings, "SURFING."

Casa Orquideas Botanical Garden
Ron and Trudy Mc Allister have created a lovely garden that includes both ornamentals and edible plant species, which you may sample when in season. The varieties include citrus, mango, banana, cashew, avocado, papaya, spices (ginger, cinnamon, vanilla, basil, garlic, black pepper), vegetables (jicama, yucca, taro, etc.), Orchids, Heliconias, Bromeliads, palms and numerous other varieties.
